Abstract: | This paper documents the formulation of a new method of generating a normal field-of-view video from a 360-degree video. We build upon previous work to formulate a new optimization method to generate a valid camera path on an equirectangular projection, and test new methods of making the process more robust. The project aims to address the increase in popularity of 360-degree videos by orienting viewers towards more interesting parts of a 360-degree video while adhering to aesthetically pleasing cinematography rules. |
