Abstract: | This report contains a thorough analysis of the TAG lens device and its associated properties, as well as a brief overview of the experimental setup used for the data collection. Specifically, the areas covered include preliminary visual observations of the TAG lens in action, comparisons of variation in both the TAG frequency and the TAG percentage, femtosecond pulse laser dynamics, as well as a fully functioning computer simulation of the TAG lens. All of these areas were chosen in order to try and isolate the cause of certain irregularities in TAG lens machine processing. While not entirely successful, this report hopefully sheds light on some of the underlying mechanics responsible for it. |
